As the founder and lead designer for Vexter Design Studio, my duties include designing collateral and coding client websites. Each client’s line of business is different, so I make sure that the user interface and overall experience caters to their unique requirements. I am responsible for all online marketing materials with focus on strategy, functionality and design. In addition to these responsibilities, I also hatch and execute the designs for the Vexter Design Studio product line.

Breakthrough Technologies LLC, Evanston, Illinois (June 2010 – October 2010)

Breakthrough Technologies is a software and technology development firm located in Evanston, IL. I was hired on a three-month contract as a Business Analyst. During my stint, I helped develop and design the user experience for an internal software created for a “Breaktech” client. Although I was not with the company long enough to see the end of the project, it was a very great experience that has further strengthened my understanding of product development and how the design process ties in with a company’s business requirements.

Collette Vacations, Pawtucket, Rhode Island (April 2009 – January 2010)

Collette Vacations is a family owned vacation travel company.  I was contracted with them originally for 6 months, which they gladly extended for an additional 3 months.  At Collette Vacations, I was responsible for the design and development of their online marketing, I revamped their UI design, and also provided web site maintenance.  In addition to design, I developed their new Travel Agent section by laying out wireframe diagrams and traffic flowcharts.

Zoom Lighting, West Warwick, Rhode Island (April 2008 – April 2009)

Zoom Lighting was founded in 2008 and needed to develop its branding and marketing materials. As the Chief Creative Officer for the startup my main focus was to develop the company website and product catalog, ensure that the user interface was simple enough for the consumer and agents to use and to be able to market the company as a world-class brand online.
